The second race in the Local Handicap series saw only 4 yachts coming to the Line, with a summer day and temperatures in the 20's more were expected.  There was only a light breeze as ther committee boast arrived on station and with a sea breeze expected the race officer set a course rather than selected from the race card. This turned out to be a good choice keeping the fleet well in the wind and despite a strong ebbing tide proved to be a competitive race. Line honours went to "Kehaar" with "Stella Peacock" second.
