Round 6 of the Seldén SailJuice Winter Series was one of the closest in the 15-year history of the Series. A near-record entry of 79 Boats from 38 different classes, ranging from a big fleet of Toppers through to MUSTO Skiffs and 505s, with several champions in attendance, enjoyed some great winter racing in a gusty breeze.
Early results had a perfect three-way tie and photo finish between three boats, each counting a 1st and 2nd
Dan Vincent (MUSTO Skiff - Stokes Bay Sailing Club), Ben McGrane and James ROSS (Osprey Netley Sailing Club ), and the British International 420 Class of Imogen WADE and Hugo VALENTINE (Draycote Water Sailing Club) , all tied on 3 points.
Following various reviews and rescores, all three had at some point won the event.
Reviews have been carried against scoring sheets, tracking and video evidence.
Even with long 4.5km laps, mere seconds separated the leaders.
