Welcome to the 2016 RYA Scotland Zone Championships minisite.
The event is a chance for sailors from all over Scotland to enjoy fun racing in a number of classes including RS Feva, RS Tera, Topper, Optimist, Laser, 29er, 420, Techno and RS:X with regatta fleets in the Toppers and Optimists.
The Regatta Fleet will be a great chance for those who attended the Scottish Club Trophy to attend a similar event over a 2 day format with fun coached racing for the sailors.
John Merricks Sailing Trust
There will also be an opportunity for one junior sailor to win the use of a boat or board thanks to the John Merricks Sailing Trust at the RYA Scotland Zone Championships. This opportunity is open to those who are new to racing as well as those who are more experienced. You must register your interest in this opportunity before the Zone Championships so have a quick look at the info page online.

The format will consist of 3 races each day for dinghies and up to 4 for the windsurfers, so there will be lots of opportunity to test the skills that you have learnt over the summer.
Competitors are invited to compete in the RS Feva, RS Tera, Hansa 303, 2.4 Optimist, Optimist Regatta, Topper, Topper Regatta and BicTechno fleet if they are under 16 as of 31st December 2016, and may compete in Laser Radial, 420, RS:X and 29er fleet if they are under 19 as of 31st December 2016.
The event will also act as an indicator for all sailors interested in being selected for Development Teams. Please enter for the event online, applications will not be accepted after the 18th September.
