Come and Join the 470 Class at the Hungarian Training Clinic

470 Internationale is proud to be opening our 2012 470 Development Programme in Europe with a Regional Clinic in Balatonfured, Hungary from 7-13 April 2012 and are pleased to invite European and other 470 sailors and coaches located around Central Europe to take part in the Hungarian Training Clinic.

The Training Clinic will be led by Nick Drougas (GRE) and hosted at Balatoni Altalanos Olimpiai Kozpont Balatonfured. All sailors are welcome to apply and the clinic is free to attend, with participants just needing to cover their own travel, accommodation and food.

Objective
The Clinic is being organized together with the Hungarian National Class Association and being held immediately prior to one of their international events, The Hungarian Spring Regatta 2012, which is taking place from 14-15 April 2012.

Location
The Clinic will be held in Balatonfured, Hungary. Lake Balaton is the largest freshwater lake in Europe and the premier vacation region in Hungary. Lining both shores of its 48-mile (77km) stretch are many towns and resorts, and the north and south shores are distinctly different in character offering something for everyone.

Schedule
  The schedule of the clinic will be finalized by Nick Drougas, but is provisionally expected to be:
Saturday 7 May to Friday 13 April
10:00 – 12:00 Lesson, theory
13:00 – 17:00 Practice on-the-water
18:00 – 19:00 Training briefing with video, questions and answers session

Coaching will include sail trim, boat handling techniques, race strategy and tactics.

There will also be a Welcome Party on the evening of Saturday 7 April.

For planning purposes, we would like to receive all entries by 1 April 2012, but entries will be accepted after 1 April 2012 and on site directly to Nick Drougas.

Accommodation and Getting to Balatonfured
The Hungarian 470 National Class Association provides accomodation in the Marina (2 – 3 beds/room about 10 EUR/day/person without breakfast). there are a lot of hotels and appartements in the neighbourhood in some hundred meters. The Hungarian 470 Association can help for the participants to get the required accommodation.
