As part of its launch activities for the MUSTO 2016 Range and Speed App, SailRacer ran a Speed Challenge for some of the Youth Sailors who recorded timed runs across a 300 m course just off the beach. With adjusted speeds the Speed Wall saw a good mixture of classes from Optimists to 29ers near the top.
MUSTO Ambassador and Volvo Ocean winning Skipper Ian Walker was on hand to inspire the youngsters. Ian took some of the visitors out on the water in one of HISC's RS Venture, although he didn't manage to achieve a sufficient high speed to make it onto the Speed Wall. Fellow MUSTO Speed Ambassador, Rich Mason bought along his International Moth, and although achieved the highest top speed of the day, could only manage third on the MUSTO Speed Wall.
